What is the difference
Between Love and lust
When does it stop being lust
And become love
When it starts to hurt ?
Or is it before
When desire is at its peak
And yearning
Takes over
Your feelings
When your minutes are filled
And your thoughts aspire
To the company you miss
To the willing Arms
And willing thighs
And soft lips
That press against
Your blind eyes
And the quiet whispers
Amidst the turmoil
And the pain
When it starts
To rain
And the stormy breeze
Blows the drops
against your
Glassy pane
Beating in tune
With your palpitating heart
Or is it when you hurt
The one you love
and feel
So sad
Without meaning to do it
And you feel the pain
That was meant for her
And you regret it
But promise
You will
never do the same
Again.
Is that when its love ?
Is it when you
Lose it
And it seems to have
Disappeared
And hope is in your heart
Is that when
You realise
The difference ?
Clouds are sweeping by
darkness turns to light
And darkness returns
Again
Rain clouds my judgement
Confusion sets in
I need
Enlightenment
Is it lust
When I need her arms
her kiss
Or dare I say it
her love ?
Whats the difference ?

I love this Robert .... thought-provokingly simple .... but aren't we supposed to have a bit of both? Isn't that what a relationship's about? Wanting to give and share and always knowing that the other is there for you too?
Not compromising, but complementing each other - gently filling those miniscule voids that somehow make us hugely incomplete;
and later, with the knowledge of hearts and lives and souls intertwined, we can observe ourselves replete and our longings satiated by the gift of another.
