Memories come flooding
From the good times not the bad
Love and laughter
And the sexy times we had
The joking and the teasing
The surprise visits
Before the dream went sour
And we became sad
I would rather remember
The good times
Than the fights and squabbles
Of our time together
And think of what we had
The feigned sarcasm and the wit
With good intentioned moments
The closeness of the cloth
Disassembled bit by bit
The passionate embraces
Now pulled apart and split
When friendship becomes intrusion
And bitterness starts to fester
When memory has forgotten
When two hearts were together
In the special place
Where a passionate kiss
Started all of this
And all thats left
Is the tear from my eye
Like a fluorescent dye
It hides in the dark
