And get those juices flowing
In consideration
Of a rosy future
Recapture the days
When fun was an item
And Love was lust
And not
Something to do!
When desires
Were rampant
And not contrived
And eagerness replaced doubt
Now understanding
Is the key
To get the past
Into the future
But
Freedom has been a friend
A friend who is now a barrier
And a guard
Hurt before and hurt
Again?
Could this be a choice
That lasts
Or a tunnel to turmoil
And dismay and disappointment
Expectations are high
Emotions control
Every road and every alley
For Old times sake
Forget there is a reason
Why the past
Was a lance
Through your heart
And give it
One Last Chance.
